This issue is hardly covered on newspapers, TV and other public news media and press.
I think that this current situation in Japan is shameful.
Ishihara Shintaro, Governor of Tokyo: gay, "a pity"

On December 7th, Tokyo Governor, Shintaro Ishihara said about gay "I feel that they lack something. I think that has a basis in genetics, I feel sorry because they are minorities".
(An omittion) ...he said "You know a demimonde of gay people get their faces on TV without scruple. Japan is getting too unruly", on Dec.3. Ishihara answered a reporter's question to button down his real intention.
On December 7th, Ishihara said, as a memory of his past visit to San Francisco, "I saw a gay parade, and they looked really pitiful. Although there are pairs of men and pairs of women, I feel something has got to be missing with them".

東京都の石原慎太郎知事は７日、同性愛者について「どこかやっぱり足りない感じがする。遺伝とかのせいでしょう。マイノリティーで気の毒ですよ」と発言した。

７日の石原知事は、過去に米・サンフランシスコを視察した際の記憶として、「ゲイのパレードを見ましたけど、見てて本当に気の毒だと思った。男のペア、女のペアあるけど、どこかやっぱり足りない感じがする」と話した。
