オレゴンペインティングソサエティ発、NYよりBirch CooperとBrenna Murphyのアートコレクティブ、MSHR来日
Birch CooperとBrenna Murphyのアートコレクティブ、MSHRはデジタルスカルプチャー、アナログサーキットを網羅し儀式的なパフォーマンスを上演しています。オリジナルデザインのシンセサイザーを使用しサイバネティックスのコンポジションを構築、実行します。エキシビジョンでは、これらの音響・彫刻器具をマクロ配置して、恍惚感のある光と音のサウンドスケープを生み出します。公演では、生成的なコンピュータ音楽システムを組み込んだバーチャルリアリティ空間を設計するための3Dモデリングプログラムを使用し、 一連のユニークなインターフェイスを通じてシステムに取り組んでいます。 MSHRの彫刻的かつ音楽的、エレクトロニックなアプローチは、お互いの深淵を高次に融合させた共同メタフォームです。MSHRは、2011年にアートコレクティブ、オレゴンペインティングソサエティから存在を現し、2014年、sonoscopia、Eyebeam。2016年、Pioneer Works、Signal Culture、Upfor等、様々なアーティストレジデンシーでエキシビジョンやパフォーマンスを行っています。
MSHR is the art collective of Birch Cooper and Brenna Murphy. Our work meshes digital sculpture, analog circuitry and ceremonial performance. We construct and perform cybernetic compositions using synthesizers of our own design. For exhibitions, we install macro-arrangements of these sculptural instruments to create immersive light-sound-scapes. In our performances, we engage the systems through a series of unique interfaces. We also work with 3d modeling programs to design virtual reality spaces, embedded with generative computer music systems. MSHR’s sculptural, musical and electronic work inform each other deeply, creating the meta-form that is our collaborative practice. MSHR emerged from the art collective Oregon Painting Society in 2011. We were artists in residence at Sonoscopia, 2014; Eyebeam, 2014; Pioneer Works, 2016; Signal Culture, 2016. We are represented by Upfor.
